Winter Trophy

The Winter Trophy is a Stableford competition in the form of a league, the best 5 Stableford scores throughout the winter will determine the player’s position and winner. It is played throughout the winter months from the winter tees mostly onto the course greens, however inclement weather or course maintenance will determine if temporary greens are used.

There is a set of rules which are incorporated into the running of this competition from either the winter course or the shortened temporary course. Any alterations to the rules must be agreed by the members of St Mungo Golf Club at the AGM.

In years gone by this competition was played every second week of the winter season but due to weather writing some weeks off, the committee decided it would be played for every week during the winter season.
